this week i was doing the long run by myself as i was entered in the 3k on the track for the Yorkshire vets and Liz and Rob couldn't make it sat, I was in a bit of a dilemma thinking where to get 20miles flat route from home ,being fed up with the greenway and the canal i decided to head up to outlane for some reason, god knows why because its all up hill and exposed, the rain came down the wind was blowing me into the road and my fingers were red raw,
Aren't we still in the summer,
For those of you who know Outlane is quiet high up and its a long lonely road up to the Nonte Sarah's pub only four cars passing me , to make up the distance i decided to go down and round the scamonden dam it had been years since i had been running around there and it would seem i had forgotten how steep it was back up to the main road (jay house lane steep) , at least its down hill going back , although it was a tough route i was fine it was just mentally tough it should have been 20m but ended up at 19m ,i was just fed up cold a.nd soaked , pleased i did it though plus i need something for the 3k , which arriving with 15Min's to spare (a timing issue) and a tummy full of pasta thought i had 1n half hrs no warm up so not bad 13.40 .
